You found the hidden text! Did you know... One single drop of a mother's colostrum has nearly 1 million white blood cells in it! True amazing power we hold as human mothers to heal. "Every Drop Counts!" - Summer

Done Naturally is a great way to express how pregnancy, childbirth, infant feeding and parenting is meant to be. Women are designed to give birth and feed their babies naturally!

Summer J Friedmann, IBCLC is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, former Certified Childbirth Educator with The Bradley Method of Natural Childbirth, a Certified Breastfeeding Educator, an Accredited La Leche League Leader, and most importantly, a mother to her three sons, Tevan, Luna and Ziah.  It was after the birth of her first son in 2002 that her life and career took a turn. A turn that she could never have anticipated but that happened very organically.DNSummerProfile2022

Through her own childbirth and breastfeeding experience, she knew she wante
d to help other mothers to feel the same joy and empowerment that comes from these moments in a woman’s life.  It was then that she began her education in childbirth and breastfeeding support. She has experienced three natural childbirths and between her three boys has 10 years of personal breastfeeding experience and can draw from these in addition to her professional knowledge.

Summer has been a La Leche League Leader since 2006 and helped several hundreds of mothers in this organization reach their breastfeeding goals.

Summer has helped several 1000s of moms and babies in her private practice as an IBCLC over the last 10 years, her own mobile private practice, where she meets mothers in their own home, to help them with any breastfeeding or pumping challenges. For women outside of her home city, she is also available by phone and video for consults with lactation needs and has worked with mothers worldwide. In 2019 Summer’s private practice became her priority, working full-time in this manner, and providing that support that is so vital after being discharged from the hospital, or after a home/birth center birth.

In 2009, Summer began her clinical work as the primary Lactation Consultant in two of the largest teaching hospitals in Kansas City, working in the NICU, Postpartum and Labor & Delivery units. Over the course of her 10 years, working in the clinical hospital setting, she gained an incredible amount of clinical knowledge, skills and built phenomenal lasting relationships with families and colleagues.

Summer has a special touch with mothers, having no agenda of her own, other than to help moms succeed in the goals of their own design with breastfeeding, pumping and parenting.

Along with her personal private practice, Done Naturally, Summer is passionate about vlogging using her YouTube Channel to help reach more mothers across the nation in dispelling myths surrounding lactation. This is her way of outreach and giving back to the community and reaching women with accurate, simple and quickly digestible information, even in the middle of the dark night.
