Spaghetti Pie
1 cup ricotta cheese or sour cream
6 oz. Shredded mozzarella cheese
"Crust"
6 oz. Angel Hair Pasta
½ clove of garlic, minced
¼ cup butter
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 large egg, beaten
1 tablespoon basil
"Filling"
½ pound ground beef
¾ pound Italian sausage
½ cup chopped onion
1 15 oz. Can tomato sauce
1 6oz. Can tomato paste
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon basil
1 teaspoon oregano
¼ cup white wine
To make crust, combine pasta with all other "crust" ingredients.
Chop mixture with a knife and press into a 10 inch pie plate.
To make filling, cook ground beef, sausage and onion together.
Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat thoroughly.
To assemble pie, spread ricotta cheese (or sour cream) on
the crust. Top with filling and cover with mozzarella cheese.
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Tip: This dish is great to prepare and freeze for an easy
meal after the baby comes. Double the recipe and have one for
now and freeze one for later. Use tin foil cake pans for easy
clean up. |
