Our Classes
After many years of teaching as a husband and wife team, I now solo teach the classes, while Casey cares for our children. I feel very strongly about the
importance of the coach during labor and birth, and know that many of you might have questions for Casey that are related directly to the coach's perspective. He will be available during one class session, near the middle of the series, for a Q&A from you and your coach.
I teach our classes out of our home, in Roeland Park. Classes are
video enriched, about 7-8 birth videos in all and also I have guest
speakers come to class. The guest speakers that come are previous graduates
from class who come to share their personal birth stories and
experiences with you. I feel that it is important for
you, as students, to hear other perspectives.
After a class is complete and everyone has had their babies, I also
organize a "reunion". We all get back together to talk, share birth
stories, see babies, eat some food, and have a good time catching up. It's
something everyone really looks forward to!
Over 70 couples have been empowered by my classes, and I cherish each one of them and their wonderful children who were born into this gentle world.
Past Classes

Class tuition is $300 per couple, that includes the cost of the Student Workbook, which
each enrolled couple will receive. I ask that a $50 deposit be mailed, or charged to your credit card via paypal, upon enrolling into class. Once your deposit is received, you will officially enrolled in class, and only then will a space in that class be held for you. This is the only way to insure your space. The remainder of tuition, $250, is due the first night of class. If you wish to use paypal to secure your enrollment, please contact me and further directions and the url will be shared with you. There will be an additional credit card processing fee for using paypal. The mailing address for deposits will be given to you when you contact me before enrolling into class.
If you are interested in 'previewing' one of my current classes in session, please contact
us and I can find a time for you and your coach to visit class.
The class dates listed are approximate and will be changed based on
prospective student's specific needs. Classes can meet Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday nights. I like to leave it up each particular class
to determine which day will work best for their schedules before I set the
day for that 12-week session.
I value the intimacy that comes in small groups, so we hold small
classes with up to 7 couples. I believe that by holding small classes,
more one-on-one needs are met, more questions are answered and more
bonds between student to student and students to teacher can happen.
The group meets once a week for a full 12-week course to gain expertise
in the skills, knowledge and practice that is needed to achieve the
best birthing experience.
A lot of couples stay in close contact after their births with support groups
and play groups because of the bonding that takes place in this small and comfortable
home environment.
The information and techniques that we will teach you and your partner will
be an invaluable asset that you will be able to use throughout your entire
life. Many Bradley® Graduates are surprised by how much their own Bradley Class
helped their relationship, as a couple, to open communication, be responsive
to each other's needs, and to develop stronger bonds with each other and your
developing baby.
Many Bradley Grads will attest to The Bradley Method® being good for their
relationship.
