About Done Naturally

Done Naturally is a great way to express how childbirth is meant to be. Women, were designed to give birth naturally. Through childbirth education and the knowledge of all the options a birthing woman has, birth will be a rewarding, empowering, satisfying and family-centered event.

Natural childbirth is the way birth is supposed to be and how a mother and her support team will achieve the greatest birth experience. As a Certified Childbirth Educator in The Bradley Method®, I am highly trained in the art of birthing and would love to help you experience the joy of natural childbirth.

My husband, Casey, and I have successfully used The Bradley Method during the birth of our own three sons and taught over 70 couples. We chose to go through the intense training and certification process together to become Bradley® Instructors so we can help other couples realize the same empowerment, joy and excitement that surrounded our birth experiences.

We've had three very different and all wonderful experiences, one using a traditional OBGYN at a hospital, one using a Certified Nurse-Midwive for an underwater birth at a hospital, and another using a Direct-Entry Granny Midwife for an underwater homebirth.

My Mission as a Bradley Instructor is to help the Kansas City community by collaborating with expecting couples and the birth team they have selected to help them become properly nourished, physically and mentally prepared, and well informed about their options during pregnancy and birth.

I will also educate you about the postpartum days, baby care, breastfeeding and the transition into family-life. We will work with you to create the birth experience that is right for you and your family.

Along with teaching natural childbirth classes, I have extended my passion for pregnancy, birth, mothering and breastfeeding by becoming an Accredited La Leche League Leader, with the Prairie Village LLL group.  For more information on La Leche League or to find out about area meetings visit www.lllusa.org/web/KansasCity.html.
